Dade City, FL – Motorcyclist Loses Life in Truck Crash on I-75 near Blanton Rd

Dade City, FL (February 4, 2023) – A traffic crash reported in Dade City claimed the life of a motorcyclist from the Clearwater area on Tuesday evening.

On January 31, the Florida Highway Patrol responded to the site of a traffic crash that took place on Interstate 75.

At approximately 7:25 p.m., a motorcycle in the southbound tractor-trailer collided on Interstate 75 near the entrance ramp from Blanton Road.

The impact of the collision caused the motorcyclist to go off the side of the roadway before coming to rest outside of the shoulder.

The motorcyclist was fatally hurt as a result of the crash. Authorities arrived at the scene and immediately pronounced the victim deceased from their injuries.

The driver of the semi-truck, identified as a 47-year-old man from Troy, Montana, was not injured as a result of the crash.

Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
