Dayton, OH – Injury Police Pursuit Crash on I-75, Three Hurt
Dayton, OH (December 21, 2025) – Three people were injured on December 20 following a two-vehicle crash tied to a police pursuit on Interstate 75 in Harrison Township, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office. The incident began around 9:40 p.m. near the intersection of Tangy Court and North Dixie Drive, where deputies attempted to stop a vehicle for a traffic violation.
Authorities reported that the driver failed to comply and allegedly attempted to strike a deputy’s patrol vehicle before fleeing the scene. Deputies initiated a pursuit that continued onto southbound I-75, where officials said the suspect drove recklessly at high speeds. The fleeing vehicle collided with a 2017 Hyundai Sonata occupied by two civilians before striking a concrete barrier wall. The impact caused significant damage to both vehicles and temporarily disrupted traffic in the area.
The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Miami Valley Hospital, where they were treated for injuries. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai were evaluated by medical personnel at the scene and received on-site treatment for non-life-threatening injuries. No additional injuries were reported.
The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is actively investigating the crash, including the events leading up to the pursuit and the collision.
