Dayton, OH – Wrong-Way Crash Injures One on I-75 Near I-675
Dayton, OH (May 16, 2025) – A serious collision involving a wrong-way driver on northbound Interstate 75 near the Interstate 675 interchange left at least one person injured Tuesday afternoon.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the incident occurred on May 13 shortly after 4:37 p.m., when authorities received reports of an SUV traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-75. Minutes later, a crash was reported in the area just before the exit to northbound Interstate 675.
The impact resulted in heavy damage and led to smoke and fire being seen from the vehicles involved. Emergency medical services arrived quickly to assist and transported at least one injured victim to a nearby hospital for further care.
The Ohio Department of Transportation reported that all northbound lanes of Interstate 75 were shut down, along with one lane on the southbound side, as emergency crews worked the scene and began an investigation.
Law enforcement is continuing to investigate the circumstances that led to the wrong-way crash.
