Detroit, MI – Injuries Follow I-75 Crash near Vernon Highway

Detroit, MI (February 27, 2023) – Troopers with the Michigan State Police were summoned to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place early Sunday morning in Detroit.

At approximately 12:40 a.m. on February 26, a motor vehicle collision took place on the southbound side of Interstate 75.

Police and firefighters rushed to the scene of the accident and secured the two left lanes of travel on the southbound side of the roadway near Vernon Highway.

Crews went to work on removing the vehicles and debris from the road. Emergency medical services responded to care for victims who suffered injuries.

At least one person was transported from the scene of the crash to a local hospital for further treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
