Detroit, MI – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 NB at Springwells St

Detroit, MI (May 4, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash on the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 just after the Springwells Street/Exit 45 left multiple people injured on the afternoon of May 4, according to the Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT). The collision, which occurred around midday, involved multiple vehicles. Witnesses reported a chain-reaction crash that left several lanes blocked as emergency services responded swiftly to the scene. Michigan State Police and local Detroit officers arrived shortly after the incident. Several individuals sustained injuries in the collision. First responders provided on-site assistance to those injured before transporting them to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation. The cause of the crash is still under investigation by Michigan State Police.
