Detroit, MI – Motorcyclist Injured in Crash on I-75 Near Warren Ave
Detroit, MI (May 16, 2025) – A motorcyclist was injured Tuesday night following a crash on the southbound side of Interstate 75 near Warren Avenue in Detroit.
The collision occurred on May 13 and led to a temporary shutdown of the southbound lanes as authorities conducted cleanup and investigation efforts. According to the Michigan State Police Metro Detroit district, the 30-year-old motorcycle rider from Washington Township was traveling on the interstate when his vehicle collided with a Hyundai in the center left lane.
While the driver of the Hyundai was unhurt, the motorcyclist sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for medical care. No other injuries were reported.
Traffic along the freeway was impacted for a period during the investigation but has since resumed normal flow. Police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash.
