Detroit, MI – One Injured in Multi-Vehicle Crash on NB I-75 Near 12 Mile
Detroit, MI (April 14, 2025) – A crash occurred on April 14 on northbound Interstate 75 near 12 Mile Road in Oakland County, blocking the right lane and right shoulder and causing significant traffic delays. The incident took place at approximately 2:19 p.m., with emergency responders quickly arriving on the scene.
Initial reports from the Michigan State Police indicate that two vehicles were involved in the crash. The collision caused one vehicle to end up partially in the right lane, while the other came to rest on the shoulder of the highway. As a result, the right lane and right shoulder were blocked for several hours, leading to slow-moving traffic in the area.
At least one individual sustained injuries from the crash. Emergency medical personnel treated the injured driver for neck and back pain at the scene. The person was then transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and care. Fortunately, their injuries were not life-threatening, but they were reported as moderate. Another individual involved in the crash did not report any injuries at the time of the accident but was also assessed by paramedics on-site as a precaution.
Firefighters assisted in securing the scene and clearing debris, while law enforcement officers worked to divert traffic around the blocked lanes. Tow trucks were called to remove the vehicles from the roadway, and the incident caused delays for several hours before the area was cleared.
The Michigan State Police are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash. Our thoughts are with those affected by this incident, and we wish them a full and speedy recovery.
