Detroit, MI – Saginaw Man Fatally Struck on I-75 near Baker Rd
Detroit, MI (November 14, 2024) – Tragedy struck on Tuesday night, November 12, when a 22-year-old man from Saginaw lost his life while helping a friend change a flat tire on I-75 near Baker Road. The Michigan State Police reported the incident happened around 7:10 p.m. While assisting his friend and standing between two vehicles, the young man was hit by a 2015 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by an 80-year-old man from Bay City. The crash involved two additional vehicles, turning the busy interstate into a chaotic scene. Emergency responders rushed the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but he tragically passed away from his injuries. Authorities have not yet released his identity. The driver of the pickup truck stayed at the scene, but it is still unclear whether any charges will be filed. Investigations are ongoing to determine what led to the accident.
