E Ridge, TN – Injury Collision on I-75 N at I-24/Exit 2

East Ridge, TN (April 25, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on Friday morning in East Ridge on Interstate 75 northbound at the Interstate 24 interchange near Exit 2, causing disruptions for drivers traveling through the area. The incident was reported at approximately 9:00 a.m. Eastern Time.

Authorities stated that two vehicles were involved in a collision that ended up blocking the left shoulder of I-75 N near the busy junction with I-24. Emergency crews from East Ridge Fire Department, Hamilton County EMS, and Tennessee Highway Patrol promptly responded to the crash. Firefighters assisted in securing the crash site and provided aid to the occupants, while paramedics assessed and treated injuries on scene. At least one person was transported to a local hospital with injuries described as minor, while others declined further medical treatment after evaluation.

Due to the crash being on the shoulder, the primary lanes remained mostly open, but delays still developed as curious drivers slowed to observe the scene. Law enforcement officers managed traffic to minimize congestion and ensure safety around the crash site.
