E Ridge, TN – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 NB Near Exit 1 Leaves Several Hurt

East Ridge, TN (April 19, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle accident occurred in East Ridge on the morning of April 19, causing injuries along Interstate 75 northbound just before the East Ridge (US-41)/Exit 1 interchange. According to the Tennessee Department of Transportation, several vehicles collided in a chain-reaction crash around 9:15 a.m. Emergency services were immediately dispatched to the scene to assist those injured. The East Ridge Police Department arrived promptly to secure the area and coordinate with paramedics. Several individuals sustained injuries in the crash. One victim received treatment at the scene for non-life-threatening wounds, while another was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The extent of their injuries has not been disclosed but is believed to be non-life-threatening. Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of the collision.
