Emerson, GA – GDOT Reports Injury Crash on I-75 near Emerson-Allatoona Rd

Emerson, GA (March 2, 2023) – The Georgia Department of Transportation alerted authorities that their assistance was needed at the scene of a major motor vehicle collision that took place on Wednesday, March 1.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., a motor vehicle collision occurred on Interstate 75. The incident prompted officials to close off the southbound side of the road near Emerson Allatoona Road.

The Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the roadway.

At least one person suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
