Erie, MI – Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway Crash near Michigan/Ohio State Line Ends in Injuries

Erie, MI (February 24, 2023) – The police and firefighters out of Monroe County were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place on February 23 in Erie, Michigan.

According to officials, at around 5:45 p.m. on February 23, a crash blocked the two left lanes of travel on the northbound side of the Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway, Interstate 75.

The incident occurred just past the Michigan/Ohio State line.

The Michigan Department of Transportation reported delays in traffic throughout the area as emergency crews worked to clear the scene.

At least one of the involved parties was transported to an area hospital for medical treatment of injuries.

By this time, the state police are investigating the crash.
