Erie Township, MI – Car Crash on Tuskegee Airmen Memorial Highway near Luna Pier Rd Ends in Injuries

Erie Township, MI (March 12, 2023) – The Michigan State Police and firefighters were called to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Monroe County and ended in injuries.

At around 3:35 p.m. on March 10, the police and firefighters were notified that an automobile accident took place on Interstate 75, Tuskegee airmen Memorial Highway.

Authorities arrived at the scene of the accident and located damaged vehicles blocking the two right lanes of the interstate near Luna Pier Road. Stop-and-go traffic was reported in the area that extended back to Otter Creek Road.

Emergency medical services provided treatment to victims who suffered injuries while at the scene. At least one person was then transported to a local hospital for further care.

The Michigan State Police are currently investigating the accident.
