Findlay, OH – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 Off-Ramp Claims One Life

Findlay, OH (February 2, 2025) – A tragic multi-vehicle crash occurred on January 31, claiming the life of a Fostoria man on the northbound ramp to I-75 at Trenton Avenue. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by Kalid Abdulaziz Abukar, 40, of Michigan, approached the exit ramp at high speed, lost control, and collided with two vehicles stopped at a traffic light.

One of the victims, Clarance Bethel II, 45, of Fostoria, was pronounced dead at the scene. Another driver, Eric Stuber, 40, of Leipsic, was evaluated on-site but did not require hospitalization. Abukar sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. Authorities from the Findlay Police Department are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. Charges may be filed pending the outcome of the investigation.
