Forest Park, GA – Injury Crash on I-75 SB at GA-85

Forest Park, GA (April 9, 2025) – A crash with reported injuries caused major traffic delays Wednesday afternoon on southbound I-75 near the GA-85 exit in Clayton County. The incident took place around 5:15 p.m. and initially blocked two right lanes before being moved to the shoulder.

According to local reports, at least two vehicles were involved in the crash. First responders from Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services, EMS, and Georgia State Patrol arrived quickly and worked to assist those injured. At least one individual sustained non-life-threatening injuries and received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Emergency crews cleared the wreckage to the right shoulder to restore some flow of traffic, but delays persisted through the evening due to residual congestion from the initial blockage. Tow trucks removed the damaged vehicles, and cleanup operations ensured the roadway was safe for travel before all lanes reopened.
