Fort Wright, KY – Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Semi on I-75 near Kyles Lane

Fort Wright, KY (September 16, 2023) – A tragic incident occurred early on Saturday, September 16th, resulting in an unidentified pedestrian in his mid-20s losing his life when he walked onto the southbound lanes of I-75.

Following the collision, the semi-truck involved in the incident came to a halt in the right emergency lane of I-75. The driver of the semi-truck, hailing from Tennessee, remained at the scene.

Upon receiving the emergency call, officers from Kenton County, Fort Mitchell, Fort Wright, and Covington swiftly arrived at the scene to assess the situation and initiate medical assistance.

The pedestrian was struck by an oncoming semi-truck near Kyles Lane around 3:30 a.m. according to the Kenton County Police Department.

Tragically, the pedestrian succumbed to his injuries on-site, as confirmed by the Kenton County police.
