Fulton Co, GA – Injuries in Crash on I-75 NB at I-85 N

Fulton Co, GA (May 6, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred during the Tuesday morning rush hour on Interstate 75 northbound at the I-85 N split in Fulton County, causing traffic delays and lane blockages in the Atlanta metro area.

The crash happened on May 6, just after 8:00 a.m. At least one vehicle reportedly lost control while merging, leading to a collision that blocked the left lane. Both vehicles sustained visible damage, and debris was scattered across the roadway near the interchange.

Emergency medical services and Atlanta Fire Rescue responded quickly to the scene. Firefighters secured the area and provided initial medical support while paramedics assessed the injuries. One of the drivers sustained non-life-threatening injuries, including shoulder pain and facial abrasions, and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The second driver was evaluated on-site and declined transport.

Traffic in the area was slowed significantly as crews worked to clear the wreckage and reopen the left lane. Authorities have not released the names of those involved, and the cause of the crash is under investigation.
