Gainesville, FL – Fatal Car vs. Semi-Truck Crash on I-75

Gainesville, FL (March 10, 2025) – A deadly collision involving multiple vehicles claimed the life of a man in Alachua County early Monday morning, March 10, on Interstate 75. According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred around 5 a.m. when the man was driving before he stopped at an intersection. Unfortunately, as he entered the roadway, a northbound semi-truck was unable to stop in time and crashed into the car.

The impact was devastating, and the driver of the car succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The truck driver sustained non-life injuries and was treated on-site by paramedics. FHP troopers remained at the scene for several hours to investigate the incident and clear the wreckage. The crash led to temporary road closures in the area as authorities worked to restore normal traffic flow. The investigation is ongoing, and officials have not yet released the name of the deceased.
