Gainesville, FL – Woman Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 

Gainesville, FL (May 4, 2025) – A fatal crash involving multiple vehicles on Interstate 75 Saturday, May 4, left a 56-year-old Gainesville woman dead. According to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), the crash occurred near Gainesville in the early hours of the morning. Although full details of the crash are still under investigation, initial reports indicate that several vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision that forced emergency responders to shut down both directions of the highway. The woman, whose name has not been released pending family notification, died at the scene. Several others involved in the accident were evaluated on-site, and no word on whether any serious injuries were sustained. FHP troopers and local crews worked to clear the scene and reconstruct the incident.
