Genesee Co, MI – Two-Car Injury Crash on NB I-75 Near Corunna Rd Exit

Genesee Co, MI (May 6, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred Tuesday morning, May 6, on northbound Interstate 75 just past the M-21 (Corunna Road) exit at mile marker 118 in Genesee County, blocking the two left lanes and causing significant traffic disruption during the morning commute.

The incident was reported around 9:10 a.m. According to Michigan State Police and Genesee County emergency dispatchers, two vehicles were involved in a collision after one of the drivers attempted to change lanes abruptly. The impact left both cars with extensive front-end damage and debris scattered across multiple lanes.

First responders, including fire crews and emergency medical services, arrived promptly to secure the scene. Firefighters assisted in removing one of the drivers from a damaged vehicle, and paramedics treated injuries at the scene. One driver was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, including a possible concussion and leg trauma. The second driver sustained minor injuries and refused transport.

Traffic on I-75 NB was heavily backed up as authorities worked to clear the wreckage and reopen the affected lanes. Michigan Department of Transportation officials were also on-site to assist with traffic control.
