Genesee County, MI – Crash Reported on I-75 near Pierson Rd

Genesee County, MI (January 3, 2023) – Emergency officials were called to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in Genesee County that left at least one victim with injuries. The accident was reported just after 1:10 p.m. on January 2.

The Michigan State Police responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance. Area firefighters were also called to help.

According to authorities, a traffic accident blocked the southbound side of Interstate 75. The incident prompted the police and firefighters to close the road just after Pierson Road exit 122.

Officials worked extensively to clear the scene of the accident and remove the involved vehicles. Two damaged vehicles were spotted at the site of the crash.

Medics provided care to the injured victims at the scene and transported them to area hospitals.

The Michigan State Police and firefighters remained on the scene extensively. Investigations into the crash are currently ongoing.
