Gordon Co, GA – Three Killed in Flames After Crash on I-75
Gordon Co, GA (May 14, 2025) – A two-vehicle fatal crash occurred early Wednesday morning on I-75 in Gordon County, Georgia, leaving three people dead and prompting a major emergency response. The crash, described as fiery and catastrophic, took place on the northbound lanes of the interstate and resulted in full closures for several hours.
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the collision involved a passenger vehicle and a second vehicle that may have been a commercial truck. Upon impact, one or both vehicles ignited, quickly engulfing the scene in flames. First responders from Gordon County Fire and EMS arrived to find the vehicles fully involved. Firefighters worked urgently to extinguish the blaze and access the occupants inside.
Sadly, three individuals were pronounced dead at the scene. Their identities have not yet been released pending family notification. No additional injuries have been reported at this time.
Georgia Department of Transportation personnel assisted in diverting traffic while troopers conducted a full investigation. Crash reconstruction experts remained on site for several hours, gathering evidence and clearing debris.
Authorities continue to investigate the cause of the crash. All northbound lanes were reopened later in the day after a lengthy closure.
