Hamilton Co, TN – Crash w/ Injuries on I-75 SB at E Brainerd Rd

Hamilton Co, TN (May 9, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred early Friday morning, May 9, on Interstate 75 southbound in Chattanooga, just past the East Brainerd Rd exit, causing delays during the morning commute.

The collision happened at approximately 6:53 a.m. ET on May 9, 2025, and impacted traffic in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near exit 3. According to initial reports, two vehicles were involved in the crash, which led to disruptions in the flow of traffic while at least one person was evaluated for injuries. Paramedics transported the injured party to a nearby hospital for further medical care. The exact condition of the individual has not been released. Fire crews also worked to clear debris and damaged vehicles from the roadway.

Law enforcement temporarily restricted traffic while the scene was stabilized, urging drivers to use caution and expect delays through the area. The scene was eventually cleared, and traffic returned to normal later in the morning. The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
