Hamilton Co, TN – Fatal Crash on I-75 Near East Ridge

Hamilton Co, TN (May 12, 2025) – A deadly crash occurred late Sunday night on I-75 near East Ridge in Hamilton County, involving at least six passenger vehicles and a tractor-trailer. The violent impact caused two of the cars to erupt in flames, requiring immediate response from emergency crews.

First responders, including firefighters and emergency medical teams, arrived quickly at the scene around 11:45 p.m. Fire crews extinguished the burning vehicles and assisted with extrications of individuals trapped inside. Multiple people sustained injuries of varying severity and were transported by ambulance to nearby hospitals for emergency treatment. The exact number and extent of the injuries have not been fully disclosed, but several victims reportedly suffered burns, fractures, and other trauma due to the collision and subsequent fires.
