Hamilton County, FL – Injury Accident blocks I-75 near MM 443
Hamilton County, FL (January 23, 2023) – The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic crash that took place on Sunday morning and left at least one person hurt. At 10:15 a.m. on January 22, the Florida Highway Patrol was notified that an auto collision occurred on Interstate 75.
According to law enforcement, two or more vehicles blocked the northbound side of Interstate 75 after they collided for uncertain reasons. The incident resulted in major traffic delays near mile marker 443.
Authorities arrived at the scene and located damaged vehicles blocking the left lane of travel. Crews went to work immediately on securing the roadway, and paramedics cared for those who suffered injuries in the crash.
At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.
The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
