Hazel Park, MI – Crash with Injuries Reported on I-75 near I-696

Hazel Park, MI (March 16, 2023) – A crash was reported in Oakland County on Wednesday afternoon that left at least one person with injuries.

Just before 4:00 p.m. on March 15, the Michigan Department of Transportation notified the state police that an accident had occurred on Interstate 75.

Police reports indicate that a collision blocked the left lane of the southbound side of the interstate. The Michigan state police responded to the scene with local firefighters and closed off the roadway after Interstate 696.

Emergency crews worked quickly to clear the scene of the accident, so traffic would be able to resume through the area.

Emergency medical services tended to the injured victims before transporting them to local hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation.
