Henry Co, GA – Two Injured in Crash on I-75 SB at Hudson Bridge Rd
Henry Co, GA (April 18, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on Friday afternoon, April 18, in Henry County, slowing traffic on the southbound lanes of Interstate 75 near Hudson Bridge Road (Exit 224). The crash happened shortly after 5:30 p.m. during rush hour and caused significant delays extending back to Hwy 138.
Authorities report that two vehicles were involved in the collision, and at least one person sustained moderate injuries. Emergency personnel from the Henry County Fire Department and EMS responded swiftly to the scene, where they found both vehicles with visible damage. One driver, whose name has not been released, suffered head trauma and chest injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The other driver was treated at the scene for minor cuts and bruises and declined further medical care.
Firefighters worked for over 30 minutes to clear the scene and remove the wrecked vehicles from the roadway. Officers from the Georgia State Patrol and local law enforcement directed traffic around the site and assisted with the investigation, which remains ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
According to the Georgia Department of Transportation, all lanes were reopened before 6:30 p.m., but residual delays remained for a short time due to the earlier congestion.
