According to the Hernando County Fire Rescue, the crash caused non-life-threatening injuries. After colliding with the other car, the semi-truck collided with a guardrail, resulting in the truck’s trailer swinging sideways and blocking all northbound lanes. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed that responders provided on-site assistance to those injured. The collision left debris scattered across the roadway, creating hazardous driving conditions and long motorist delays. Crews worked to clear the wreckage and reopen the lanes. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of the accident.
