Hillsborough Co, FL – Crash With Injuries Shuts Lanes on I-75 S
Hillsborough Co, FL (April 8, 2025) – A two-car injury crash occurred on April 8 in Hillsborough County, causing major delays on I-75 southbound near Bruce B Downs Boulevard. The crash was reported around 7:47 a.m., affecting two left lanes and disrupting commuter traffic during the morning rush hour.
According to the Florida 511 Traffic Management System, emergency services were dispatched to the scene shortly after the incident was reported. Hillsborough County Fire Rescue and EMS responded quickly to assess the injured and manage the traffic hazard. At least one individual sustained injuries and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Firefighters worked to remove the damaged vehicles and clear debris from the interstate while Florida Highway Patrol officers directed traffic and launched an initial investigation into the cause of the collision.
