Hillsborough County, FL – Fatal Crash on I-75 Claims the Life of a 20-Year-Old Man

Hillsborough County, FL (October 1, 2025) – A 20-year-old man was tragically killed in a crash early Tuesday morning, September 29, on Interstate 75 near mile marker 241 in Hillsborough County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).

The incident occurred around 1:30 a.m. when the man, whose hometown has not been released, was driving a Chevy Avalanche northbound in the center lane. At the same time, a 44-year-old woman from Riverview was driving a Ford Edge in the outside lane of the highway.

According to FHP, the driver of the Chevy Avalanche veered into the outside lane, colliding with the SUV. Following the impact, both vehicles moved off the road and onto the outside shoulder. The pickup truck then overturned, and as it rolled, the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

The woman in the Ford Edge sustained no reported injuries. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
