Hillsborough, FL – Highway Patrol Dispatched to Injury Crash on I-75 near Dr King Blvd

Hillsborough, FL (February 22, 2023) – Troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were dispatched to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that took place in the Hillsborough area on Tuesday morning and ended in injuries.

At around 11:20 a.m. on February 21, authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of an automobile accident on the northbound side of Interstate 75.

Preliminary reports show that a vehicle collision occurred on the roadway near Dr. King Boulevard at mile marker 260.

The incident caused delays in traffic that extended back to US Highway 301 at mile marker 253.

Highway Patrol and area firefighters worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the road. Emergency medical services rendered aid to the victims at the scene and transported them to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
