Hillsborough, FL – Injuries Follow Accident on I-75 near State Rd 60

Hillsborough, FL (March 10, 2023) – A motor vehicle accident was reported in the Hillsborough area on Wednesday evening that ended in injuries. At around 6:15 p.m. on March 8, troopers with the Florida Highway Patrol were called to the scene of an automobile accident on Interstate 75.

Preliminary reports indicate that a collision blocked the left lane of travel on the northbound side of the interstate. The incident caused stop-and-go traffic that extended from State Road 60 back to Selmon Expressway.

Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the road.

Emergency medical services rendered aid to the victims at the scene before transporting them to local hospitals.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
