Hillsborough, FL – Injury Accident Reported on I-75 near Big Bend Rd

Hillsborough, FL (January 16, 2023) – The Florida Highway Patrol was dispatched to the scene of a traffic crash that had taken place in the Hillsborough area that left at least one person injured. Calls for help were received at around 1:50 p.m. on January 13.

Preliminary crash reports provided by the Florida Department of Transportation indicate that a traffic accident blocked two left lanes on the northbound side of Interstate 75. Authorities responded to the scene and blocked off the roadway near Big Bend Road.

Emergency crews remained at the scene extensively as they worked to clear the roadway. The incident caused delays in traffic that extended back to Sun City Center Boulevard.

At least one person involved in the crash suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
