Hillsborough, FL – Multi-Vehicle Crash w/ Injuries on I-75 S at Gibsonton Dr

Hillsborough County, FL (August 24, 2025) – A serious multi-vehicle crash with injuries shut down all lanes of Interstate 75 South before Gibsonton Drive on Sunday, August 24. The Florida Highway Patrol confirmed the collision occurred during the afternoon. Troopers reported that multiple vehicles were involved, causing a chain-reaction collision that scattered debris across all southbound lanes. Emergency responders arrived promptly, assisting the injured and redirecting traffic. Some victims were treated on-site for minor injuries, while others were taken to nearby hospitals for further evaluation. The Florida Highway Patrol continues to investigate what triggered the crash. At this time, no fatalities have been reported.
