Hillsborough, FL – Woman Killed in I-75 Accident near I-4

Hillsborough, FL (January 6, 2023) – The Florida Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a traffic accident that took place in the Hillsborough area on Thursday morning that claimed one woman’s life. Just after 3:20 a.m., on January 5, Highway Patrol was notified that a crash took place on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, a collision involving a Volkswagen Jetta and an unknown number of vehicles occurred on the southbound side of Interstate 75 near mile marker 262.

The impact of the crash because the vehicle to strike multiple construction barrels before striking a guardrail.

A woman involved in the accident was fatally injured. She was pronounced deceased at the scene by Florida Highway Patrol.

At this time, the incident remains under investigation.
