Jackson, GA – Injury Crash Reported on I-75 near GA-36 (Barnesville-Jackson Rd)

Jackson, GA (February 7, 2023) – The Georgia Highway Patrol and firefighters out of Butts County were called to the scene of a traffic crash that had taken place on Monday morning.

On February 6, at around 9 a.m., authorities were notified that a traffic crash had taken place on the southbound side of Interstate 75.

Crews arrived at the scene and blocked off the two right lanes of travel on the southbound side of the interstate in the area near Georgia State Route 36, Barnesville-Jackson Road.

The accident caused disruptions in traffic throughout the area, which lasted for an extended period.

At least one person suffered injuries in the crash and had to be transported to a local hospital for further care.

The Georgia Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.
