Jonesboro, GA – Injuries Follow Traffic Crash on I-75 near Fielder Rd

Jonesboro, GA (February 7, 2023) – The Georgia Highway Patrol and area firefighters were called to provide assistance at the scene of a traffic crash that took place in the Jonesboro area.

On February 6, the Georgia Highway Patrol was notified that a traffic crash had taken place on Interstate 75.

At approximately 4:45 p.m., a traffic incident blocked the southbound side of the interstate just north of Fielder Road.

The crash prompted officials to close off the roadway for an extended period.

Emergency medical services responded to care for the victims who suffered injuries. At least one person was transported to a local medical facility for further care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
