Kenton Co, KY – Crash Injures One on I-71/75 Just Past I-275
Kenton County, KY (April 17, 2025) – A two-car crash injury occurred on Thursday evening in Kenton County, just past the I-275 interchange. The collision took place in the northbound lanes of I-71/75 at mile marker 185.4 and resulted in the blockage of the right lane and right shoulder.
Authorities responded to the scene shortly before 6:00 p.m. after receiving reports of the crash. Emergency units from Kenton County EMS, local fire departments, and the Kentucky State Police were dispatched to assist. First responders located two vehicles with visible damage and one occupant requiring medical attention. Paramedics treated the injured individual on-site and later transported them to a nearby hospital for evaluation. The injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Traffic was significantly affected as cleanup crews and officers worked to manage the scene, redirect vehicles, and clear debris. Motorists were urged to drive cautiously in the area and seek alternative routes if possible. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The affected portion of the highway was expected to be cleared within a few hours, but residual delays persisted into the evening.
