Kenton Co, KY – Injuries in I-71/75 NB Crash at MM 190 Near 12th St

Kenton Co, KY (May 12, 2025) – A vehicle crash with injuries occurred on Monday afternoon on I-71/75 Northbound near Mile Marker 190, close to 12th Street in Kenton County. The collision was reported shortly before 2:00 p.m. and resulted in the blockage of the left lane, causing moderate traffic delays in the Covington area.

According to initial reports, at least two vehicles were involved in the crash. Emergency crews, including Kenton County EMS and fire rescue personnel, responded promptly to the scene. One individual reportedly suffered injuries consistent with a rear-end collision, including back and neck pain. The injured party received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for further medical evaluation.

The Kentucky State Police, along with local traffic units, worked to secure the area and direct vehicles safely around the site of the crash. Tow trucks were called in to remove the damaged vehicles, and debris cleanup was completed to restore normal traffic flow. While the crash did not result in life-threatening injuries, it did create delays during the afternoon hours.
