Kenton Co, KY – Injuries in I-71/75 SB Crash Near 12th St Exit
Kenton Co, KY (May 14, 2025) – A two-vehicle injury crash occurred on Wednesday afternoon in Kenton County, Kentucky, on the southbound side of I-71/75 near mile marker 190, close to the 12th St exit. The incident took place around 2:10 p.m. and resulted in the blockage of the right lane, causing traffic delays through the area.
According to reports from the Kentucky State Police and local traffic monitors, two vehicles collided under still-undetermined circumstances while traveling southbound. Emergency medical services were dispatched to the scene and provided treatment to at least one injured occupant, who was later transported to a nearby hospital for further care. The severity of the injuries has not yet been confirmed.
Fire and rescue teams from the Covington Fire Department assisted in clearing the crash site and stabilizing the vehicles to prevent further hazards. Tow trucks were called to remove the damaged vehicles from the roadway. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet issued alerts advising drivers to expect delays as traffic was reduced to one lane through the area.
