Knoxville, TN – Major Crash on I-75 N Injures Seven
Knoxville, TN (October 2, 2025) – A major crash on northbound I-75 in Knox County resulted in seven injuries and caused significant traffic delays on Tuesday afternoon. The crash occurred around 3 p.m. when a truck struck an SUV from behind, causing the SUV to hit another vehicle. The truck then continued, colliding with two additional vehicles before coming to a stop and blocking multiple lanes.
The truck driver has been charged with due care. The Tennessee Highway Patrol reports that seven people were injured in the incident. Emergency responders, including the Knoxville Police Department, were on scene to assist.
All northbound lanes were closed, and traffic was diverted to Callahan Drive. The lanes have since reopened, but drivers were advised to expect delays and avoid the area if possible.
