Lake City, FL – Fatal Crash on I-75 Claims Two Lives, Leaves Others Injured

Lake City, FL (July 23, 2023) – A tragic car accident on I-75 took the lives of a 28-year-old woman and a 6-year-old child on Saturday, July 22nd. The incident occurred when their sedan lost control due to wet road conditions and veered onto the wrong side of the interstate.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the sedan was traveling south at around 5:00 p.m. when the driver lost control, causing the car to cross the grass median and collide with a white SUV on the northbound side. The impact from the collision also affected a blue SUV that was hit by the white SUV.

Emergency responders reacted to the scene, providing immediate assistance to the injured.

Tragically, both the woman and the child in the sedan were pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, the two other children who were passengers in the sedan sustained serious injuries. The driver of the white SUV suffered non-life-threatening injuries, while all three occupants of the blue SUV were fortunate to escape without harm.
