Lee Co., FL – Five-Car Pileup on I-75/Corkscrew Rd Leaves Multiple Injured
Lee County, FL (March 11, 2025) – A five-car pileup on I-75 near Corkscrew Road caused injuries Tuesday evening, March 11, following an earlier accident at the scene. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) reported that a trooper was finalizing details at a previous crash site when another vehicle struck the rear of the patrol car. The force of the impact triggered a chain reaction involving four additional vehicles. Several occupants sustained injuries, with emergency responders providing on-site treatment for non-life-threatening conditions. However, authorities have not yet disclosed the identities of those involved. All vehicles were towed from the scene as law enforcement continued their investigation into the cause of the crash. Motorists experienced delays while crews worked to clear the roadway. The Florida Highway Patrol is leading the investigation.
