Lexington, KY – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-75 near MM 71

Lexington, KY (October 30, 2024) – A fatal multi-vehicle accident occurred on northbound I-75 near mile marker 71 on October 30, resulting in a complete highway shutdown. According to Kentucky State Police Trooper Scottie Pennington, emergency teams responded promptly to the crash scene on Wednesday evening. Tragically, one individual was pronounced dead on-site. Trooper Pennington confirmed that, at this time, the identity of the deceased has not been released, and there is no information regarding additional injuries in the collision. The Kentucky State Police are working to determine the cause and circumstances surrounding the tragic event.
