Lexington, KY – Kennedy Knowles Loses Life in Truck Crash on I-75 near MM 111

Lexington, KY (January 15, 2023) – A traffic accident took place in the Lexington area on Friday evening that claimed the life of 19-year-old Kennedy Knowles.

At around 10 p.m. on January 13, the Kentucky State police responded to the site of a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 75.

According to law enforcement, a pickup truck in a semi-truck collided on Interstate 75 near mile marker 111. The Lexington police responded to the scene and secured the area.

The driver of the pickup truck suffered life-threatening injuries due to the crash. The driver, identified as Knowles, was rushed by ambulance to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for emergency care. He was pronounced deceased by the Fayette County coroner at approximately 1044 p.m. due to his injuries.

Icy road conditions are believed to have contributed to the accident. At this time, investigations are underway.
