Lexington, KY – One Killed, Two Injured in Serious Collision on I-75/MM 102
Lexington, KY (August 31, 2024) – A serious collision on I-75 southbound near the 102-mile marker resulted in one fatality and left two others injured on Saturday afternoon, August 31st. The Lexington Police Department received a report around 4:15 p.m. regarding a reckless driver heading south on I-75. Moments later, a crash involving three passenger vehicles was reported. Upon arrival, officers found one individual deceased inside a car, while two others sustained injuries. One of the injured individuals was reported to have life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. The second injured person was also transported to the hospital but is expected to survive. The police conducted their investigation and crews worked to clear the wreckage. The Lexington Police Department is continuing its investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
