Lutz, FL – Multiple-Vehicle Accident Reported on I-75 near SR-56

Lutz, FL (February 25, 2023) – Emergency officials across Pasco County were called to provide assistance at the scene of an accident involving multiple vehicles that prompted the shutdown of several lanes of travel early Saturday morning, February 25.

At around 5:25 a.m., the Florida Highway Patrol and firefighters out of Lutz were called to the scene of a collision that occurred on Interstate 75.

According to officials, multiple vehicles collided on the southbound side of the roadway. The incident blocked two left lanes on the road near Florida State Route 56.

Emergency officials worked to remove the damaged vehicles and debris from the scene of the accident.

At least one person suffered injuries and had to be provided medical care at the scene. The victims were then transported to local hospitals for further attention.

At this time, the circumstances surrounding the accident are being investigated.
