Macon, GA – Injuries Follow Auto Accident on I-75 near Pierce Ave

Macon, GA (March 17, 2023) – Delays were reported in the Macon area following a motor vehicle accident that left at least one person injured on Thursday afternoon, March 16.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., the Georgia Highway Patrol was notified by the County dispatchers that an automobile accident had occurred on Interstate 75.

Reports show that a vehicle collision blocked the left lane of travel on the southbound side of the interstate. The crash caused disruptions in the area near Pierce Avenue at Exit 167.

Emergency officials responded to the scene of the accident to provide assistance.

Emergency medical services rendered aid to victims who suffered injuries. Those who required further care were transported to local hospitals.

The incident remains under investigation at this time.
