Macon, GA –Traffic Wreck on I-75 by Rocky Creek Rd Takes Life of Jerome Jarrell

Macon, GA (December 27, 2022) – The Georgia Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a crash that took place in Biggs County on Saturday evening that claimed the life of 41-year-old Jerome Jarrell.

The accident was reported just before four p.m. on December 24. The troopers with the Bibb County Sheriff’s office were called to the scene to provide assistance.

According to law enforcement, a GMC pickup truck was traveling north on Interstate 75 when it became involved in a collision near Rocky Creek Road. The incident caused the vehicle to strike the center barrier near the on-ramp for Rocky Creek Road.

Jarrell, who was driving the vehicle, was fatally injured. He was pronounced dead at the scene by the responding County coroner.

At this time, the fatal crash is being investigated by the Georgia Highway Patrol.
