Macon, GA – Woman Fatally Struck on I-75 at Riverside Dr

Macon, GA (February 20, 2025) – A tragic accident on Interstate 75 N near Riverside Drive claimed the life of a woman early Sunday morning, February 17, authorities confirmed. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, 33-year-old Victoria Otto was struck by a vehicle after attempting to cross the interstate on foot. Reports indicate that Otto and her sister, Ashley Otto, had pulled over onto the left shoulder of I-75 North following an argument. Moments later, Victoria exited the vehicle and attempted to run across the highway when she was hit by an oncoming car. The vehicle that struck Otto fled the scene, and authorities have launched an investigation to locate the driver. Despite efforts from paramedics, Otto succumbed to her injuries at the scene. The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is urging anyone with information regarding the hit-and-run to come forward. Investigators are reviewing nearby surveillance footage to identify the suspect vehicle.
